Phillipa is an accomplished executive leader who has enhanced the capacity of Fathers & Families Coalition of America since 2011. Ms. Phillipa Johnson serves as the Director of Community for Fathers & Families Coalition of America as the sendior advisor to the President and Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Johnsonposses exceptional and excellent communicator skills that foster the balance of wisdom and vision for the counsel of the President and Chief Executive Officer to extend collaborative efforts. Her pursuit of board success has guided the narrowing of effective international members. Ms. Johnson having a vision to put the mission into a long-term view includes the development of a volunteer portal, fellowships, external fellowships, and internships for veterans, post-graduate, doctoral, post-doctoral professionals for the overall sophistication and future growth of FFCA. Phillipa has a talent to attract and recruit the best people as part of the diverse volunteers at FFCA by leading, not just manage. Ms. Johnson is an exemplary role model, with a passion to support women of diverse backgrounds striving for executive leadership.
Phillipa with over 40-years of experience in early childhood and as the senior leader, most recently as Executive Director, University of Southern California, School for Early Childhood Education funded for $6 million. Before that professional contribution, Ms. Johnson served as the Deputy Director/Interim Director at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science Head Start/Early Head Start/State Preschool Program funded for $18 million. She has over 30 years of volunteer experience with organizations serving families, youth, and young children.
Presently Phillipa Johnson is a management consultant for non-profit organizations and Preschool Programs. She supports strengthening management systems enabling them to improve lives for community citizens. She serves on the Board of Directors for Nehemiah Project LA, a transitional program for former foster care youth; Diversity Lifts, a birthing and coaching program for pregnant women of color. And FAMI See a Man Be a Man, a mentoring program for high school students attending school in Watts, CA.
