COMMUNITY CAFÉ ENGAGEMENT

Announcing New In 2023

The home to a new online communities for parents, practitioners, leaders, and stakeholders is a new launch powered by Okta. FFCA gives users a neutral, robust,  and extensible platform that allows those who sign up as members of the Fathers and Families Coalition of America a great experience. Okta for nonprofits, allows our members to share best practices, research, resources, events, or tips for parents.

The new system allows authenticated and approved members access to blogs through our website using the dynamic services of Auth0 by Okta. Imagine as an approved member of FFCA; you can start sharing your resources with others in our online community and our website visitors with the ability to share through social media platforms. FFCA is committed to using technology to support your needs. We are excited to share more information with tutorials that complement our International Conference, Men2Men Café, Women2Women Café, DiSC Faculty Program, OAR Leadership Institute, Advanced Practitioner Credential, and more.

Fathers and Families Coalition of America introduces two exceptional monthly café conversations focusing on positive change and finding a cause bigger than self. We host three café programs that were born out of advancing coalition building. Our meetings promote community-based interventions and research and build community-wide awareness of essential topics for sustaining healthier children and families. FFCA is continuously seeking excellence with diverse partnerships for profound change and providing a structure for connecting people.

The FFCA café is structured with sound practice principles. An experienced professional in the topic area hosts every café. We start every café with the host establishing a warm and inviting welcome and introducing the guest speaker. The café conversation is set with etiquette established by FFCA. We are hosting a platform with participants that begins with a talk/fireside chat for no more than fifteen minutes. The community will have twenty-minute rounds of questions for the specific context and desired purpose of the FFCA monthly café. The host may build upon each question or guide the conversation direction. Each café provides opportunities for individuals to share insights or impacts due to the café topic.
