Sylvia Rodriguez, MA., LMFT, Faculty and Counseling Team
Sylvia Rodriguez, MA., LMFT, is a clinician-licensed marriage and family therapist who has over fifteen years of providing her talents to support initiatives of the Fathers and Families Coalition of America. Ms. Rodriguez is an established teacher as part of the diverse professional development platforms offered by FFCA. Sylvia is a founding leader of the Women2Women Café program of FFCA. Sylvia Rodriguez, MA, LMFT, has been in the mental health industry for seven years, including her current role as Community Mental Health Trainer. Sylvia graduated from the University of California Cal Poly Pomona with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She went to Azusa Pacific University, where she earned her Master's in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy. Ms. Rodriguez provides training, information, feedback, and support to help communities gain awareness, understanding, and knowledge about mental health issues and engage and collaborate with community members to promote, maintain and affect their wellness. She is certified as a Community Resiliency Model Teacher, Mental Health First Aid Instructor, and in Adverse Childhood Experience (ACEs) Aware Supplemental Training curriculum. At the beginning of her career, she spent 16 years in Head Start, where she had the pleasure of co-leading projects within the Early Childhood Education setting, including program governance, parent involvement, and father engagement. In addition to her career in mental health, she is the founder/owner of Grace Legacy Consulting and a transformational coach focusing on male involvement/father inclusion.
