Fathers and Families Coalition of Puerto Rico since 2011, with Dr. Aida Díaz Rivera (ret.) President of the Asociación de Maestros established FFCA Affiliate and led collaborative leadership and professional development institutes for over 800 individuals. Fathers and Families Coalition of America en Puerto Rico is now led by Dr. Aida Díaz Rivera to lead the dba as Transforming Leadership & Management Institute as well as oversee the Center for Latino Leadership Institute of FFCA at the Medina Professional Center, Calle Monseñor Torres, San Juan, Puerto Rico, 00925.
Aida was the President of Asociación de Maestros de Puerto Rico. She has dedicated herself for four decades to defending the public school system and Puerto Rico teachers. Dra. Díaz started her career as a biology and science and family ecology teacher in various schools and has held multiple positions before the role of President of AMPR. She concurrently holds a position as a vice president of the American Federation of Teachers. Dra. Díaz was one of the first international leaders to have their agency join as an affiliate of FFCA.
Now is a new journey for both Dra. Díaz and our organization. Aida's decision after retirement from AMPR and incorporate Fathers and Families Coalition of America in Puerto Rico will provide the leadership for a transformational leadership and training experience throughout Puerto Rico, Latin America, and globally. In 2021, we will focus on the O.A.R. Leadership Institute. Collectively and with her extensive leadership experience, we will create a nonpartisan educational and policy institute to center on expanding professionals' skills, knowledge, and leadership supports with a focus on Latinos and others with a bilingual added experience.
