About the Webinar: How can we support child welfare system change so that young fathers are recognized as critical members of families? How can we improve outcomes for children and families by supporting young fathers in their role as parents? The Center for the Study of Social Policy (CSSP) recently released a report highlighting a set of policy recommendations for child welfare systems to better engage, support and serve young fathers, their children and families. This interactive webinar will feature jurisdictions that have implemented some of these policy recommendations. New York City's Administration for Children Services and the Children's Institute Inc. of Los Angeles will discuss their implementation efforts, challenges and lessons learned. The National Fatherhood Initiative, the Fathers and Families Coalition of America and the National Responsible Fatherhood Clearinghouse will present resources in support of implementation efforts. Additionally, there will be an opportunity for peer sharing and exploration of future directions for child welfare system change in support of young fathers and their families.
